I bought these beautiful earrings for my mother's birthday. She had lost one of another Tree of Life pair and looked very hard to find them again but to no avail. Along with his older brother, my dad was a huge genealogy buff. There's always been a lot of debate in the family about whether we're Irish, Scots Irish, etc., but we definitely know we have Celtic roots.
My father died almost a year ago, and I wanted to give my step-mother something special that would remind her of my dad, and I knew she'd prefer a gold colored pair of earrings over a silver colored pair.
While looking, I found these, and thought they were fairly pretty, but not as dainty or filigreed as I'd hoped to find, In the end, however, it was the symbolism of the "Tree of Life" design that helped me make a decision on what to buy with my very limited budget, and I'm glad that I did: they're actually prettier in person than they are in the picture, and my step-mother loves them.
The real bonus for me is that everytime she wears them, I get to think of my dad too...
