I was looking for a simple, practical jewelry box with a lot of compartments to hide in the closet because my jewelry is all over the place. For the price, I was actually very impressed with this product. It's easy to lock, easy to open, and I like the mini-box that can be separated out and kept in a separate location as needed. The drawers open well, and the box is compact and portable. This is a good purchase for storage. If you are looking for something to put on display, you may prefer something more wooden. Also, if you have a lot of dangly earrings, this may not be your best bet. It has a lot of compartments for stud-type earrings, but only about 8 or 10 hooks for necklaces and dangly earrings. I had to double up for my dangly earrings.I'm not hot about the item, but the sellers are great! By smileylizzie
I bought this product in 2009. I am not super impressed with it since it fell apart on me after about 2 weeks. But...it looks like mine was a fluke. Everyone else seems to be very happy with theirs. Anyway, I never pursued a refund or anything like that. I just ate the cost and wrote a negative comment. Someone at Shining Image found my comment and took immediate action. They contacted me and offered me a full refund, which I received today! I am very happy to get that back, and while I may not take another chance on the box, I would be willing to buy from Shining Image again someday. I searched forever for a jewelry box and finally settled on this one, and I love it. It has so many compartments for all my stuff, and it feels very stable and secure. Amazing deal for the price!
