I was very pleased with the weight of the base. It will not tip over easily. And the crystal knobs on the end of the arms is very attractive and will catch the light. It does not look cheap. It will be used for display of jewelry I am selling. Unfortunately, it was shipped with some other items from Amazon in one box, and this one got damaged and I had to send it back to Amazon. This was not the fault of the company that has these. It was just an accident. I can reorder another one.
