I didn't expect a whole lot of necklace for the money, because the price was very cheap for a nice gift. But the design looked so nice, I thought that it might be an okay gift. If not, then Amazon has a very reasonable return policy.
However, when the package arrived, I was very happy. Inside the mailer, there was a nice jewelry gift box, which contained a small blue pouch that contained a lovely necklace, so no additional wrapping is necessary, but it would be nice. The 18 inch chain came to my collarbone, which is longer than the usual 16 inch chain. The pendant itself looks like it was handmade by a skilled jewelry maker. It has a gorgeous swirled tree motif, with a simulated diamond in the middle. It is about the size of a quarter, which is not too big, but big enough to be noticed. Around the edges of the pendant is a border of little dots, which is decorative, but also heavy enough to keep the pendant from being damaged. Another nice feature is that the silver has an oxidized finish, so I won't need to polish the pendant later on. (I make jewelry, so I am very fussy)
I think that this necklace would be wonderful for a girlfriend or for Mom, for birthdays, holidays or other gift giving occasions. (Just a hint for you guys out there, if you're having a gift finding problem.)Love it! By Christa McComas

I picked up this pendant because it is very similar to the Celtic symbol that my wife and I used on our wedding invitations and on the top of our wedding cake. This is indeed a beautiful pendant and my wife loves it but I will say that you're buying the pendant and getting what is essentially a disposable chain.
The chain is pretty short and is extremely fragile. In fact, if you're a parent of a small child you probably don't want to risk wearing this pendant with the supplied chain around your child because the slightest little tug will probably snap the chain. I suggest you purchase a better chain from Amazon to go with this pendant or be VERY careful with the chain that comes with it.
